The Standard Gauge Railway is on course

Uganda is currently in advanced prep stages for the construction of the first 273 km of the planned 1,724km Standard Gauge Railway (SGR). Construction of the Eastern route of the railway running from the border town of Malaba to Kampala will cost $2.3b.
